Setup

  1. Connect printer to network.

    To connect, see "Setup Guide - MG3600 series -."

    When connected, "Canon Inkjet Print Utility," software for making detailed print settings, downloads automatically.

    Note

    • Your computer or tablet must be connected to the same wireless router as the printer.
    • In the network settings of your computer or tablet, enable printer sharing, and then select a private network.
    • If 50 or more devices are connected to your network environment, the printer driver will not be installed automatically, and the automatic download of Canon Inkjet Print Utility does not start. Reduce the number of devices to 49 or less to automatically install and download.

  2. Register printer with Canon Inkjet Print Utility.

    Start Canon Inkjet Print Utility, and then select your printer in the Select Model screen.

    Note

    • When using a computer or tablet equipped with a USB port, you can also connect it to the printer using a USB cable. Connect your computer or tablet to your printer with a USB cable.

      • Once USB connection is complete, printer driver is automatically detected.
        Once printer driver is detected, Canon Inkjet Print Utility, software for making detailed print settings, is downloaded automatically. If you have signed out of your Microsoft account on your computer or tablet, you must sign in again.
      • Network connection is required to use web services.
