Registering Printer with Google Cloud Print

The printer can be registered to Google Cloud Print with the following two methods.

Important

  • If you have not gotten Google account, get it.

  • When the printer owner changes, delete its registration from Google Cloud Print.

  • LAN connection with the printer and internet connection are required to register the printer to Google Cloud Print and to delete it. Internet connection fees apply.

  • Depending on the device or application you are using, a message urging you to register the printer to Google Cloud Print may appear while the printer and your device are connected to the same network. When you register the printer to Google Cloud Print, press the Wi-Fi button after the Wi-Fi lamp flashes 3 times.

Registration Using Google Chrome

  1. Start Google Chrome browser on your computer.

  2. Select Sign in to Chrome... from (Chrome menu).

  3. Log in to your Google account.

  4. Select Settings from (Chrome menu).

  5. Select Show advanced settings... to display information.

  6. Select Manage for Google Cloud Print.

  7. When Canon MG3000 series and Add printers button are displayed, select Add printers.

  8. When confirmation message for registering printer appears, select OK.

  9. Press Wi-Fi button after Wi-Fi lamp flashes 3 times.

    Printer registration is complete.

Registration Using Other Web Browser

  1. Make sure printer is turned on.

  2. Display printer status on web browser.

  3. Select Web service connection setup -> Google Cloud Print setup -> Register with Google Cloud Print.

    Note

    • If you have already registered the printer with Google Cloud Print, the confirmation message to re-register the printer is displayed.
  4. When confirmation screen to register printer is displayed, select Yes.

  5. Select display language in print setup for Google Cloud Print.

  6. Perform authentication process.

  7. When registration completion message appears, select OK.
