Select this setting item from Device settings.

  • Manage remaining roll amount

Select ON to print a barcode at the end of a roll before you remove it. The printed barcode can be used in managing the amount of roll paper left. Select OFF if you prefer not to print the barcode.

  • Paper retention setting

If you select Release, the roll nip does not contact with the rolls and you can feed paper manually. If you select Retain, the roll nip contacts with the rolls and automatic feeding is enabled. Selecting Release does not allow you to switch the paper source of rolls (upper or lower) automatically.

  • Energy save mode paper rewind

Enables/disables rewind of the roll paper which is being fed while the printer is in energy saving mode.

Selecting Enable rewinds the roll paper instead of retaining it by the Paper Retainer while the printer is in energy saving mode.

Selecting Disable keeps the roll paper retained by the Paper Retainer even while the printer is in energy saving mode.

In addition, this setting is valid even when you turn the printer off.
