Setting Up - Setting Sender Information and Date and Time

Set the sender information and the date and time.

Register a user name and your fax/phone number to print them as the sender information together with the date and time on the fax recipient's paper.

Important

• We recommend that you register the user information because faxes without sender information may be rejected by the recipient's fax machine.

1. Press the Setup button on the printer.

2. Use the buttons to select Fax settings.

3. Press the OK button.

   

4. Select FAX user settings, and then press the OK button.

   

5. Make sure Unit TEL no. registr. is selected, and then press the OK button.

   

6. Use the Numeric buttons to enter the telephone number, and then press the OK button.

   

7. Make sure Unit name registr. is selected, and then press the OK button.

   

8. Enter the Username and press the OK button.

   The sender information settings are completed.
   Next, set the date and time.

9. Press the Setup button on the printer.

10. Use the buttons to select Device settings.

11. Press the OK button.

    

12. Select Other dev. settings, and then press the OK button.

    

13. Make sure Date/time setting is selected, and then press the OK button.

    

14. Use the buttons to move the cursor to the target position, and then use the Numeric buttons to enter the month/day/year (last two digits) and the hour (24-hour format)/minute.

    • What you see in the screen varies depending on the country or region where you purchased the printer.

15. Check the entered details, and then press the OK button.

The date and time settings are completed.
